Adidas Terrex AX2R Review – Finally The Ultimate Hiking Shoe

Adidas Terrex AX2R

Today I want to do just my review for you guys on the Adidas Terrex AX2R shoes. So this is one of Adidas’ higher-end hiking shoes. And a lot of people like them, myself included. For one, they’re very, very comfortable. I noticed in the past that a lot of hiking shoes aren’t always the most comfortable in the world, but these surprisingly are. They have a pretty thick rubber sole that’s pretty stiff, which is important when you’re hiking. It’s stiffer than a typical trail running shoe, but maybe a little more flexible than a typical high top hiking boot. It’s a good in between. You get the best of both worlds.

If you’re not nuts about just stiff hiking boots, but you think a trail running shoe might be a little bit too soft, this would be a good choice. Another thing I really like about these shoes is that they’re very lightweight. You definitely don’t feel like you’re wearing a heavy biking boot with one of these things. They are about the same weight as a typical trail running shoe, which is really nice.

The Traxion outsole grips very, very well. And I’ve found that the midsole holds your foot very good, but it offers a lot of padding too so you don’t feel all the little rocks quite as much as you would more of a minimalist shoe. As far as the fit goes on them, they may run just a tad wide. And they are pretty true to fit. They may run just a half size to a quarter size small. But yeah, overall, these shoes are great. I really like them a lot. If you guys have any more questions about them or anything like that, just leave them in the comments below. Thanks for watching, guys, and have a great day.
