If you’re familiar with the whole Fitbit ecosystem, then this will be kind of a usual scale to you. I hadn’t seen all that many reviews on this one, so I thought I’d give you guys my two cents based on my experience and let you know what I thought about it. Okay, so first of all, if you want kind of the short version of this review, I did a lot of research on smart scales, and this is the one to get in my opinion. It works the best; it measures the things that you need to measure in the most accurate sense. Out of all the ones I’ve tested and tried, this is the one I like the most by far. Fitbit has done a good job. I don’t know if it’s because they have used the technology in their smart watches and smart exercise bracelets for a long time, it’s the same kind of technology they put into the scale. But what does this thing measure?
It measures your weight, it measures your body fat percentage, it measures your lean mass, and it measures your BMI. Those are pretty much the four most important things to measure when you’re using a smart scale. Now, the body fat percentage is always the hardest thing for scales to measure, just because people have different body shapes and different kinds of lean mass, things like that. This one is extremely accurate. I tested mine in an actual water tank at a gym, and this thing was within one percent each time of me testing it. So it’s scary accurate actually how good this is at showing your body fat percentage.
So if you’re looking for a fair body fat percentage, like what’s the best body fat percentage measuring scale, this is the one to get. The other ones, the different categories weight, lean mass, and BMI were very, very accurate as well. Those are just derivations of your body fat percentage. If you know your weight and you know your body fat percentage, you know your lean mass. It’s only the difference between the two. And BMI is just an equation of that based on your height, so anyway. Yeah. That’s why the body fat percentage is so significant, and this one measures it very, very accurately.
It Hooks up right through Bluetooth to your smartphone, a perfect app. Fitbit’s apps are useful. They don’t mess up your phones, they don’t lag your phones, and they’re just intuitive, easy to use, really really good. Works with Android and Apple, so whatever you have, no problem. It can also support up to eight users, too. So it’ll keep your information just on your phone for when you measure yourself, so it can work with up to eight people, which is nice. And it can track all those and all those things too. Another thing worth also mentioning with this one is it’s not a big ugly scale. It’s a very nice, modern looking scale. I guess it’s worth mentioning just for what it’s worth that it’s one of the better-looking scales that I’ve ever used.
Another thing, too, which is nice about this one that the other ones don’t do. You don’t have to open up your app and go into the thing and then weigh yourself. All you do is get up in the morning and just stand on it. When it’s done, it’ll automatically sync with your phone and so you can track your weight daily and your BMI. It just does everything wirelessly in the background automatically, which is awesome.
The graphs are nice. They’re easy to see, they’re easy to understand. And yeah, it works really good. I like this thing a lot. And for the money, you can’t beat it because it’s better than a lot of scales that I’ve used that cost two to three times more. This one’s a bargain!
