You need to have an Apple ID whenever you want to use Apple’s services either on your iPhone iPad. Therefore, you should know your Apple ID just in case you want to change information associated with your account. You may also be prompted to enter your Apple ID before using Apple’s services. Your Apple ID contains personal information and settings to your Apple Account. When using your Apple ID you will automatically use the settings associated with the Apple ID. The Settings app
Whether you are using an iPhone or an iPad, tap the ‘Settings’ app to land on your settings screen. At the top of the screen, tap the row that displays your name and profile picture associated with your Apple account. You will see a line with a text that reads, ‘Apple ID, iTunes, iCloud and App Store’ below your name. You will see your Apple ID displayed in a small text just below your name and profile picture.
The iTunes & App Store section
Tap ‘Settings’ to launch the settings app and then scroll down the list of options until you see iTunes & App Store. Tap ‘iTunes & App Store’ and a new window will open displaying your Apple ID. Your Apple ID will be displayed on top of the screen in a blue text.
The App Store
You can find your Apple ID in the App Store. First, tap ‘App Store’ on your Apple device (iPhone or iPad) to open the App Store. In the upper right corner of the screen, you will see a profile icon that’s associated with your account, tap the icon. You will open your Account screen. At the top, your name and profile picture will be displayed and just beneath your name, your Apple ID will be displayed in a gray text.
iTunes on your computer
If you don’t have your iPhone or iPad devices near you and you need to use your Apple ID, you can access iTunes on your computer to find your Apple ID. To get started, click the ‘Account’ option that’s found in the menu that appears in the upper left corner of your computer’s screen. You will see a drop-down menu with the name and the Apple ID that’s associated with your Apple account as the first two items on the list. Since neither of the two will be a selectable option, you will have to proceed as follows:
In the list of options associated with your account, click ‘View My Account’ to open your Account Information screen. You will see your Apple ID displayed in the Apple Summary section.
