iOS 15 is one of Apple’s newest releases, and with it comes even more new features, including Protect Mail Activity. Protect Mail Activity prevents companies from being able to see your IP address and track your activity through the use of pixel.

This information is used to help companies show ads that are more interesting to you. That does not mean it is bad. You can turn on a feature that will stop this from happening called “Protect Mail activity.”

Now let’s go over the steps to turn on the “protect mail activity” feature on your iPhone or iPad.

  • First, you will open up the settings app. The setting screen is displayed.
  • Step two, tap the “Mail” menu button which will show you the mail settings section.
  • In the third step, you will tap on messages. In that section, you will have a privacy protection option. Choose it to view your privacy settings.
  • Step four: Tap to turn on protect mail activity.

Now your IP address won’t be seen by emailers and any ads included in the email will stop tracking your activity.

Now “Protect Mail Activity” protects your privacy by stopping companies from seeing where you are located through pixel tracking. They may also stop showing ads based off of any data they have collected about what types of products interest.

Protect Mail Activity may not be for everyone because it does block companies from seeing your activity which may not be a wanted result in all cases.
