After getting my iPhone 6 I noticed issues with it connecting to WiFi after the first few days of use. I didn’t think much of it but soon enough I got fed up with the issues happening all the time that I tried a a few things and after hours of research I finally found a fix that worked help me resolve my problem. To fix this issue just follow the steps below and be back browsing with your iPhone in no time.

Re-initiate Wifi System Service
It may sound complex but its actually super easy to do. All you have to do is go to your phone:
- Tap on ‘Settings’
- Choose on ‘Privacy’
- Go to ‘Location Services’ then to ‘System Services’
- Turn ‘Wifi Networking’ off
- Wait 10 seconds and turn ‘Wifi Networking’ back on
Now turn off your iPhone and turn it back on and your problem should be resolved.
Reset Wifi Network Settings
If the above method hasn’t worked you can try this method that worked well on my iPad back in the days:
- Tap on Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Reset
- choose ‘Reset Network Settings’
Now your iPhone 6 will reboot and your problem should be solved.
Update your iOS version
If your iOS version is outdated it may cause issues including issues that your iPhone 6 not connecting to Wifi. To update your iOS go to your computer (both PC and MAC work) and go to iTunes and then click on your iPhone icon in iTunes. Now you will see the full iTunes Settings. Click on ‘Check for Update’ and follow the instructions to update your Phone. It is known that an outdated version of iOS can cause issues with Wifi on your iPhone 6. That includes iOS 8.0.0, iOS 8.0.2, iOS 8.1.0, iOS 8.1.1, iOS 8.1.2, iOS 8.1.3, iOS 8.2.0, and iOS 8.3.0.
Wipe your iPhone and start over
While this is not a recommended choice it may help you get your iPhones Wifi back to work. Please note that you will lose ALL OF YOUR DATA on your iPhone with this process. To Factory Reset your iPhone 6 Plus to fix iPhone 6 not connecting to Wifi you have to:
- Go to Settings
- Tap on General
- Choose Reset
- Click on ‘Erase all Content and Settings’
- Enter your passcode and approve it once more
Take your iPhone to the Apple Store
If none of the above methods have helped you fix your iPhone 6 then its time to take it to the Apple Store. Since the iPhone 6 is still fairly new its pretty likely that you still have warranty on your iPhone. To get it fixed find an Apple Store near you and book an appointment with an Apple technician to get your iPhone checked and most likely replaced.
